Here are some customer questions we've compiled about Orders, Decals and Shirts. We hope you find the answers to your questions here! If not, feel free to contact us! ORDERS & SHIPPING

I JUST PLACED MY ORDER AND WANT TO CANCEL/CHANGE IT...
Please review your order carefully before placing. All of our orders are made-to-order, but we expedite as SOON AS POSSIBLE. Some of our orders even go out the same day. If you place an order and need to change it or cancel, please let us know ASAP! We have no guarantee that we haven’t already processed your order, but will do our best to accommodate the situation.

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
Shipping is always $5.95 for all US orders up to $50. After $50, shipping is FREE within the US. Visit our our Order Detail page for more information.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
We do ship using priority mail service through the post office daily. Your order is usually processed and shipped within two business days. From there, priority mail states a 2-3 day delivery (eastern states generally receive theirs earlier - we are in Ohio) so customers can expect their decal to arrive usually within 5 business days. Visit our our Order Detail page for more information.

WHY HAVEN'T I RECEIVED MY ORDER?
We generally process orders for shipment within two business days of receiving. Extreme circumstances may constitute for delays, but anything more than three business days, the customer will be notified. Upon preparation for shipment, you will receive a delivery confirmation/ tracking info email from usps.com. In it will be a tracking number to follow your order. We ship all US orders priority mail (outside the US is first class and can take much longer). Priority mail service is offered by the post office at a 2-3 business day delivery from the day of shipment. Please understand this is not a guarantee from the postal service and holidays and weekends will sometimes delay shipping. We are not responsible for postal service delays.

THE POST OFFICE DELIVERED MY ORDER, BUT IT'S NOT HERE.
At the request of most buyers, Sweetums DOES NOT require a customer signature for package delivery. Most of our orders will not fit in your mail box and must be delivered to your front door, left at the post office, or in a manager’s office in your complex. If you have a theft problem in your area, please notify your carrier of the issue and request that signatures be required for all package delivery. We will also request a signature at the buyer’s request. If your package is stolen upon delivery, Sweetums is not responsible for the order.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MY ORDER IS DAMAGED?
We take great care in the packaging and shipping of our orders and generally the post office does as well. If you receive your decal and it seems wrinkled, that usually happens to just the transfer tape during shipment. Go ahead and apply to the wall as normal and if you have any issues with the quality of the decals from shipment please send us pictures of the damage and upon approval we will generally replace. Orders inside the United States are insured by the USPS for up to $50. If your package arrives damaged, we need to make a claim on your behalf and will then send you new products. In order to make a claim, we must provide PICTURES to the USPS so do not throw away your packaging or damaged item or you will NOT be reimbursed with new merchandise. Inspections of your order must take place within three days of receiving. If the decal is damaged beyond repair we must be notified with pictures within the three days.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE MY FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?
YES! Simply use the contact form to let us know what quote you are looking for. Be sure to include information like the kind of font you would like (plain or fancy or both), the approximate size you were looking for, as well as the color. Please note: We get lots and lots of custom requests, so be patient it could take 7-10 days for a reply.

CAN I SELL YOUR DECALS & APPAREL TO EARN MORE CASH?
We do offer sales opportunities to select customers who wish to share the fun of decals and our apparel with family and friends. We reward you with cash, not free merchandise because we figure if you like our products that much, you already have what you want. We don't do home parties, however if you wish to have them yourself, that's up to you. Just let us know if you would like more information!

DECALS

ARE DECALS REMOVABLE?
Yes, they are removable, but are not meant for reuse. If you want to remove a decal, use your nail to get under a corner or edge and slowly peel it off. However, when you remove a decal, it is likely to tear and stretch. Decals are simple to apply and will remain permanent until you decide otherwise. If you are unsure of surface you are applying, we can send a small sample for you to try out before applying the real thing, just let us know.

ARE DECALS REUSABLE?
No. When you go to remove the standard wall decals, they are likely to stretch and tear and are not meant to be reused in other places.

HOW DO I APPLY MY DECAL?

WILL THE DECALS DAMAGE MY WALL?
Well the decals are meant for the wall. If the surface was painted properly you should have no problems when removing, however we cannot provide a 100% no damage guarantee. If a wall was painted in the past 72 hours, or painted over a non-adhering surface (such as caulk) the paint is likely to peel when removing the decal. We recommend at least one week of drying before applying decals. If the decal is applied for an extended period of time, there may be some adhesive residue left behind which will easily wipe clean with "goo-gone".

IS THERE A CLEAR BACKING TO THE DECAL?
There is NO clear backing. The decal itself is the only sticky part and words can be separated and cut out to place differently if desired.

WHY WON'T MY WALL DECAL STICK TO THE WALL?
We rarely get that problem, but if you do, make sure the surface is clean so that no particles could tarnish the adhesive. Using the applicator, smooth the decal several times on the wall before removing the transfer tape. If the wall is really cold you could warm it up with a hair dryer (heat makes the decals stick easier), however the decals are made to where you shouldn't have to do that.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I GO WITH?
As far as the measurements go, it really depends on a lot of things. 1. Is the decal going to be your focal point (if so think large)? 2. How large is the room - the bigger the room, the bigger the decal you may want. 3. How empty is the room on other walls. - If you have lots of "stuff" you may not want too big of a decal to clutter things up. We suggest taking some masking tape and taping off the measurement of what you think you might want. Step back and look at the area that is taped off (maybe just a small piece to mark at each end of the width and height) and go from there. The size is really up to you, and everyone has a different opinion of what may look too big or too small, so trust your own judgment. After all, it's your home :)

HOW DO YOU FIGURE YOUR SIZES?
We measure everything in INCHES for the ENTIRE design. The decal measurements run tip to tip from left to right and then top to bottom.

WILL YOUR DECALS WORK ON MY CAR? HOW ABOUT OUTSIDE?
Yes, we even make car decals and family decals. Our decals are ideal for signs, businesses, trailers, storefronts, front doors, etc and they have a 5 year outdoor lifespan (indoors forever).

WILL THESE WORK ON TEXTURED WALLS?
Yes, you can use them on a textured wall. Our only suggestion would be to use your hand when smoothing out the decal onto the wall instead of the applicator card. The card likes smooth surfaces, and your hand will enable the decal to apply to the creases and texture of the wall.

WILL THESE WORK ON GLASS? 
Hello and thanks so much for your interest! YES, our decals work great on glass inside or out! Rule of thumb: Apply the decal when the surface is completely dry with no moisture in the room. The key is to make sure there is no moisture between the decal and the surface because that will cause the adhesive to lesson. After it is applied, it’s good to go!

I WANT TO PUT THESE IN MY BATHROOM, WHAT IF THEY GET WET?
Our wall decals are awesome for a bathroom wall, shower door or even your toilet! Rule of thumb: Apply the decal when the surface is completely dry with no moisture in the room. The key is to make sure there is no moisture between the decal and the surface because that will cause the adhesive to lesson. After it is applied, you are fine. Splash it, soak it, steam it - no worries!

CAN I APPLY TO WOOD?
Yes, you can apply to wood, but it is a little more difficult. You do need to make sure that the wood is clean of all debris, because any loose flakes/wood will stick to the decal and lesson the adhesive. Just take it slow and you should be fine. Also, I suggest using your hand to apply into the contours as an applicator card is meant for smooth surfaces and your hand will get the decal into the contours much easier.

I LOVE ONE OF YOUR DESIGNS, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO REARRANGE IT DIFFERENTLY ON MY WALL. CAN I CUT THIS DECAL APART?
YES. Feel free to rearrange our designs as you wish. If you have an area that would fit the quote in a better layout, you can simply cut it apart and arrange it as you want it.

SHIRTS

WHY IS THERE A FILM ON MY SHIRT?
Our printer requires a pretreatment when printing certain ink colors. Pretreat is a layer of liquid that is sprayed and heat pressed on the shirts. This helps the ink to lay on top of the shirt rather than soaking thru. If you happen to notice a film on your shirt, it's likely our pretreatment solution. Just simply give your shirt a wash and the film should disappear.

HOW DO I SELECT A SHIRT SIZE THAT IS RIGHT FOR ME?
In each product description there is a chart with sizing information. Use these measurements to determine which size would be best for you!

WHAT BRAND DO YOU USE FOR YOUR SHIRTS? 
We use District Brand t-shirts.. they are a very soft, thinner type of shirt. They are made with ringspun cotton so they do not noticeably shrink. The fitted shirts we sell run extremely small however the basic unisex T runs true to a men's shirt size.

JUST HOW FITTED IS THE WOMEN'S FITTED T-SHIRT?
When we say fitted, we aren’t kidding. Our women’s fitted t-shirts are pretty snug. Be sure to check out the sizing chart to find the right fit for you.
